3 Prints on Alu Dibond, 45x60cm each, featuring Augmented Reality
Ad personam: (Latin for “To a person.”) Relating to an individual person.
Data images, data doubles or digital personae are profiles created by the analysis and combination of data collected by surveillance systems.
Facial recognition systems, retinal mapping and fingerprint scans, visited sites, shopping online, geolocation, social media activities, up to the acquisition of genetic data, everything can contribute to feed the incorporeal form of our digital "doubles".
The profiling and division into behavior groups, social selection, the possible birth of a genetocracy, are just some of the most sinister aspects of the issue.
Yet in many cases it’s the surveilled person who actively contributes to data collection. How aware are we of being complicit in dataveillance?
AD[igital] P3Я$0n4м is an augmented reality work. Framed through a device camera, each of the three prints that compose the work comes to life revealing a new layer.
